Second one of these that i've bought. The first one lasted about 15 years or more. Always worked great, never a problem. The new one is just as good.

No doubt about it--this is the best garlic press I've every used. I used to have a very old press that worked exactly the same way (including the reversible cleaning side). But it was light and flimsy and eventually it broke. I've used a number of other presses, including the popular rocker presses now out (which don't really work that well--required too much downward pressure applied at an awkward angle). But this press has real heft and structure. It works like a charm. It crushes the cloves much faster than the rocker type and it cleans much fast with that reversible side that pokes through the holes from the other direction, removing the bits remaining. Very good product.

Le presse-ail Oxo est de très bonne qualité. Il se tient bien et est solide. Il presse l'ail de façon très efficace avec très peu de perte. Il est possible de mettre deux ou trois gousses d'ail en même temps, mais ça requiert plus de force. C'est le jour et la nuit en comparaison avec mon ancien presse-ail qui n'était pas assez étanche et qui ne pressait pas bien; je perdais donc une grande partie de la gousse d'ail.
