Interesting read, good recipes. It is nice to know that someone else had a simular up bringing as myself. Many of the things she did as a child was as I did. Know I have some of the recipes that had been lost over the years as the older generation passed away. I enjoyed it.

all my receipes for hungarian breads cookies for the holidays, r the same as my Mother and aunts used. even the drop noodle soup. i didnt see a receipe for potato noodles or potato pancakes. But i have those. i did see the noodles and cottege cheese, and th cottage cheese cake. wow that bought bck memories. with the chive. yummmmmmm!!!!!!!!

I LOVED this cookbook ! All my mother's side of the family was Hungarian/German and made the best meals and desserts. No one had their receipes and they all passed away without us asking for them.And then to come across this cookbook and find the dishes that they made was a surprise of a lifetime. I was able to download mine for FREE on my Kindle but ordered the book for a cousin. We were thrilled. Even if i never make anything from the book, I still have my memories of my motherand grandmother making the Plum Dumplings and Apple Walnut Pita. Thank you so very much.

These two ingredients were in nearly every dish we tasted on our tours through welcoming Hungary. What a delight to get both delicious recipes championing paprika and the witty tales behind them. It is tough to find two tastier ingredients. Healthy and easy directions.

Love most of the recipes. Reminds me of my mothers cooking, lost some of her recipes in Super Storm Sandy. Will definitely cook most of these dishes. Wonder if the author was looking over my mothers shoulder.
