I thought it was a great buy, although not quite the quality of the "Classic" Wusthof line, but a very good quality knife with great function for cutting bread or anything that a deep serrated knife is used for.

I ordered this knife as a Christmas present for my husband. We have a few Wusthofs in our collection and were in need of a bread knife. This arrived really quickly! On the day of it's arrival, my husband called me and said he was going to go out shopping for a bread knife! When I couldn't talk him out of it, I had to tell him what I got him for Christmas. He was very happy with the brand/gift.Wusthof knives are excellent - and they make wonderful wedding presents, too! One of my favorite gifts that we received was a small knife for chopping! I use it all the time.

For the price I paid for this knife, it has been a great addition to my block. It holds its edge very well, and slices through bread like nobody's business. I actually took a chunk out of a finger on my bread-holding hand recently (due to my own carelessness while cutting), and I felt it more in my knife-holding hand than the finger that was cut. The knife is still that sharp, after a year of owning it. Definitely recommend!

This knife cuts beautifully and easily through very soft, as well as crusty whole-grain breads. I needed a longer knife to cut larger loaves and this one fits the bill.

I recommend this bread knife. It is great for slicing soft sandwich bread, hot out of the oven! Wusthof has a great serrated blade design.
