It just completely stopped working after two months.I'm not sure why this product has such a high rating – so many people mention it stopped working for them...UPDATE:Changed from one star to three stars after the manufacturer sent a free replacement under warranty.

To small. Can't read temperature through oven window. It's OK as far as accuracy, but what good is it if you can't read it easily. We have a different one that is bigger and can be read through the oven window but it doesn't hang which is what lured me to this one. I'll keep looking.

So glad I purchased this when I moved into my new house! I tested it by setting the oven to 450F and my oven is hot by 50F! this thermometer withstood high temperatures up to over 500F and it didn't have any discoloration.

The base are too narrow to sit on oven racks. Not very accurate, the temperature dial is small difficult to see

This thermometer is absolutely necessary for a serious baker to check the temperature on your oven- mine is consistently off by 25 degrees; not that I know that I can compensate when I set my oven to preheat, allowing for perfectly baked treats every time.
