This book made really lovely reading. The reason for missing 5th star is not the content, but the quality of the binding. Pages came loose very quickly and then just fell out. Have since purchased the paperback version which is just perfect.

This is a very readable portrayal of the gospel, gods love grace and mercy. I particularly enjoyed the way that Manning gives topical and personal examples to back up his message. This book challenges and inspires. I would no roughly recommend it !

This book has transformed my understanding of God and His love for me, and my relationship to/with Him. Probably the best book I have read (apart from the Bible), it speaks in a straight forward, compassionate and passionate way: one humble, redeemed ragamuffin trying to communicate the marvellous truth he has understood to others. Wonderful!

Light on theolog, little reference to the Bible, but this book has heart; recommended in addition to Bible reading.

An awesome book. What strikes me about this book is the grace that Manning describes. I cannot hear this too much.

Brennan provides a good look at the grace of God, and helps the reader take a good look at themselves in the light of it. A pastoral read, helping to apply the grace of God to our own lives afresh.

A wonderful book from the author of Abba's Child. Interesting read, shows how organised church is out of touch with the bible. We need to go back to the grassroots and live our lives according to Jesus' teachings and not what the church has decided. Their decisions have come from humans and not God.
