Package came pretty beat up. Box had a tear in it, despite being inside a plastic shipping bag. The first filter had lost some of the filtering material in the canister.

We used these filters ordered on through amazon quite frequently, the last order seems that the product had some defect . Out of the 3 pack , 2 of them are not filtering the water . I mean the upper compartment does not filter thr water

One of mine in the newer package (white top) did not let water through so I wrote to PUR. They sent a replacement in 5 days and the replacement works. Discover that this version doesn't flow quickly in the first pitcher, but after that, it gets to a better flow rate. But even then, this version is still MUCH slower than the blue top version and clogs up in about 30 pitcher full.Not sure why this is out of stock on Amazon as of 7/6/2021, and on PUR's own website, guessing the parts supply chain is broken. Beware of "compatible" substitutes because they may not actually filter out any contaminants. E.g., one claims NSF 42 certified, but digging deeper, that just means it makes the water taste better by removing chlorine (could do that by just by letting water sit for about 1 hour), and contains no lead in the filter. It doesn't mean it filters out lead. Look for WQA certification (like PUR) and NSF/ANSI standards 53 and 401 certified.

I have been ordering purr water replacement filters for a couple of years. This box of 3 that I received seems to be defective. The filters usually last 2-3 months. Two out of the three filters in this box worked for approximately 2 weeks, then got clogged and no longer filter water through. I have tried every “trick” recommended online to clear them, and it’s still not working. I have had these clogs in the past, but typically it happens after it’s been in for about three months(the recommended time to replace it).I’d welcome feed back from the company that sells them.

I have order this because I had good experience previously with PUR filters but this order is total waste for money! It takes 1 hour to get filtered water!! It’s too slow.. I thought one of the filter might be like that, but all 3 inside the box are same! Also, with minimum use of 1-2 months, filter is useless! It’s stopped filtering water.

These filters do their job but for only 2-3 weeks then they stop filtering water. Even letting the pitcher sit overnight isnt enough time for the filters to filter the water. I question if these are from the manufacturer. I will not be these buying again from Amazon.
