The unit came fitted with one cutting wire and 2 spares. The first time using it on a soft bergeron cheese the cutting wire broke. The second use, chedder this time, lead to another broken cutter. I closely inspected the last cutting wire before install and it looks to have been twisted too tight which kinked the wire and lead to failure. Order spares when you place your main order.

Had this for months still using the same original wire.I love this thing, use it all the time.I also use its a cup butter and cheese work perfectly still on my first wire .When cleaning just make sure you get the cheese deep I'm the crack, a little water pressure cleans easily other than that.

It looks really nice in the advert, and it is nice to look at, but smaller than I thought. A wire was already broken in transit, and they would have replaced that. we decided to give it a try. put in a new wire, which was a little crooked to start.The wire slips over the end of the handle, that goes into the marble and the groove for the wire. The wire kept jumping off the handle part, and we had to keep putting it back on. Too finicky for my liking. I like something straight forward that works without extra hassle. It did cut the cheese ok, but I don't thin k it would cut a large Costco block,Still looking to find a good one. It seems the solid blade ones leave lines on your cheese.

Took it out of the box and the handle was loose. Tried to tighten and it just comes loose again. The marble board itself is great but the handle feels very cheap. I returned it.

The cutting wire it came with unwrapped one end when used the first time making the wire too loose to cut properly. The replacement is not the right length to allow the handle to be positioned properly and the handle comes often comes loose when the cheese is being cut

It's precisely as we expected it to look, but the wire likes to catch just a teeny bit on the marble as you come down on a slice, as the "hinge" side is pretty loose. It's easy to work around though.

Got the product and it felt and looked great however the disappointment came quickly:-the first wire broke on the first try.-The second wire broke after one week of usage.- 3rd wire was broken on arrival.So now I am left without any wires to slice my cheese.We are using the cheese slicer for semi hard cheeses, so I am surprised how quickly these wires are breaking.I would appreciate some wire replacements.

I have used many devices to cut cheese ... and must say ... since we prefer the older cheeses which generally crumble as you cut them ... this does a beautiful job of cutting slices ... actual slices that hold ... easy to clean; a dream to use.
