Nachdem unser billige Schneidabroller ausm Discounter nach mehreren Jahren den Geist aufgegeben hat, musste schnell ein Ersatz her. Wenn man sich mal an die Dinger gewöhnt hat, möchte man ja nicht mehr drauf verzichten. Also bestellt, kam recht flott, passte sogar an die alten Schrauben, die noch in der Wand waren. Folien eingesetzt, Küchenrolle reingehängt. Und dann schnitten die Messer nicht, wie sie sollten. Die Folien wurden regelrecht zerfetzt, anstatt sauber abgeschnitten. Hatte das Ding schon wieder eingepackt und dann les ich was von speziellen Messer für jede Folie. Und siehe da, wer lesen kann ist im Vorteil. Man muss nur die Alu- bzw. Frischhaltefolie in die richtigen Fächer legen und schon schneiden die Messer einwandfrei und sauber ab, in beide Richtungen. Wunderbar. Also, alles in allem eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen.

I bought one of these Contura Dispensers 10 years ago from Amazon and it still works brilliantly after 10 years.I recently had my kitchen refurbished and decided to go for something different. I bought 2 completely different types but both were returned to Amazon as they would not cut the foil or cling film. I decided to go back to this one and it works perfectly. For those who are having problems cutting the foil, try cutting it from left to right. After a few times of doing it that way you will find it cuts easy both directions. It takes the 300mm/30cm/ size cling film and foil.Hopefully it will last as long as the previous one.

The cutting mechanism doesn't cut through tin foil. It kept bunching up and getting jammed. Also needs a rolling feature to release trapped foil/film. Not happy, would not recommend.

An excellently designed product at a good price for a stainless steel unit which looks very neat on the wall. It cuts both film and foil cleanly and without fuss. Another big plus is that new rolls of film and foil are very quick and easy to replace and do not involve putting strain on any part the unit. Other dispensers I have bought have eventually broken because a plastic bracket had to be slightly bent each time a new roll was installed. The paper towel roll sits neatly below and is easy to replace. Also, there is no issue regarding the diameter of the cardboard tube found inside the roll. The diameter of this tube varies between manufacturers in some countries and is an issue with some dispensersThe best wall dispenser I have ever used.

Main issue is that it turns out standard cling film rolls (at least in the UK) are 35cm rather than 30, so we need to hunt about a bit for refills. That being said, it is doable and much more convenient than loads of rolls rolling about in a drawer.Some issues with the ends of the rolls (mainly foil) twisting back inside the dispenser, which is a pain as you have to dismount the whole thing.

Instructions non-existent, but you can figure out how to use it. Kitchen roll holder is adjustable for different widths but foil and cling-film compartments are NOT ... best bet is to take it with you to the supermarket, as you'll find only the smaller rolls will actually fit. Foil has jammed a couple of times. Still better than trying to work with these things in separate packets and kitchen roll dispenser very handy.

Voilà un accessoire qui change la vie dans une cuisine. Fini les crises de nerf à gratter le film étirable pour en trouver le départ.Bien sur c'est assez imposant, pas forcément très beau, mais c'est tellement utile !Il faut bien penser à deux choses : 1 ) mettre le bon rouleau dans la bonne encoche. Ce sont deux couteaux différents : l'alu ira en bas, le film étirable en haut. Si vous faites l'inverse, vous déchirez tout 2) les mettre dans le bon sens, la partie que l'on tire en haut en recouvrement des rouleauxLes lames fonctionnent en aller - retour. . Découpe parfaite et nette sans effort, mais il faut quand même maintenir plaqué le morceau à découper pour un résultat parfait

Had my first one of these fifteen years ago and never thought I'd find another one as good as the original. Only downside is I'm struggling to find clingfilm to fit it as they're all 350mm now! Also don't try to put jumbo kitchen paper rolls in it because they won't fit BUT both the foil and the film cut perfectly and it's used daily. Thinking of buying another one to store away just in case this one gets broken because I've finally found one that works.

Originally purchased the plastic Leifheit 25703 Parat model as it had lots of positive reviews, but mine was useless (didn't cut, the end of the rolls kept disappearing, threading the rolls was tedious, and the opening mechanism was ridiculously awkward). I then found this Contura model. Although very expensive, it is working exactly as I hoped. Being stainless steel, the remaining end of the clingfilm sticks to it once cut and stays in place so it's there when the next piece is needed. The replacement of rolls is easy - the unit opens with one button, and threading the end through the slots is straightforward. The cutting works smoothly and reliably so far. Being made of stainless steel, the Contura is heavy once the rolls are in place, so if you want to mount it on the back of a door (which I did), it requires a very strong door. I'm so happy to have made the investment and hoping this will perform for years.

Well made wall mounted holder for cling film, foil and kitchen towel, it neatly stores all the individual rolls ready for use.Cuts down on wastage as the sliding cutters cleanly trim the foil and cling film to the required length leaving a small piece exposed ready to be pulled out for the next time.Been using the dispenser for a few weeks now, and found it works perfectly, a new piece of paper, cling film or foil is ready to be dispensed without the mangled ends caused by just pulling the stuff off the roll.Please note that this dispenser only takes 300mm wide rolls of foil and cling film, just be careful which size you buy to put inside.

This is by far the best looking dispenser that I have found after looking around for ages. It is easy to fix to the wall and is easy enough to refill, using 300mm wide rolls. The foil cuts beautifully but I must admit that so far I'm not particularly impressed with the results with the clingfilm. I've found that you have to hold it down fairly taut before it will cut rather than just scrunch it up into a useless mess! The cutter on the top works both ways but the second one down refuses point blank to work from left to right so I have to remember to use it from right to left and then slide it back after use each time - no great hardship but is it faulty or a design fault....?? Either way I can't be bothered to return it now. Paper towels fit easily onto the adjustable hangers on the bottom. I would have given this product 5 stars if both cutters had worked both ways. In the meantime, I'm off to practise cutting clingfilm..........

Lei comentarios que no cortaba el film(que lo arrugaba).Pues supongo que lo pondrian mal y al reves la gente.El papel de aluminio va abajo y el film arriba.Y no veas como los corta ambos.Yo al principio los coloque mal,sin fijarme que dentro te indica donde va cada uno y no los cortaba bien.Supongo que cada compartimiento tiene diferente cuchilla,de ahi que corte mal si los colocas al reves.

Does what it needs to do - it's of German origin however - which for whatever logical reason over there, their rolls of cellophane are smaller diameter in general than ours, bare that in mind. Was a straight swap with an older unit of a different manufacturer, the pegs just happened to be of identical width and it was a literal quick swap, just like hanging a clock. Comes with screws and wall plugs also. Works fine, just also remember to put the foil in the bottom compartment only, it's clearly made that way because it won't cut it otherwise if you try loading it into the top bay (and vice versa for the cellophane). Never tamper with good old German efficiency.

PLUS: First impression - Attractive, compact style Good delivery service Kitchen Paper Roll attachment was goodMINUS: No Instructions on assembly, loading or operating. Internal feed system for film is crude (Better for foil) Extracting cling film was frustrating constantly requiring gentle teasing at the edges and pulling the film in alternative upwards and downward directions. If the fault lies with the actual film choice (Sealapack) why couldn't Contura give a film specification requirement or even recommend suitable film supplier by product or name !! My previous dispenser ( which was of very similar design but of far superior interior construction) performed perfectly for twelve years before the blades failed
